via Daily Prompt: Millions

So, I am responding to a ‘blog prompt’, not something I’d heard about until today, but it’s one of those things that really get you thinking, a way to unblock the paths to creativity!

The prompt is ‘Millions’.

We humans have not just millions, but literally trillions of neurons in our brains, and trillions of connections formed since the moment of our conception, which grow strong, die, change and fade away throughout the whole of our lives. It’s these trillions of tiny connections which make each of us unique, and which allow us to carry out our daily lives in a meaningful and progressive way.

The fact that we can change the connections is fascinating. Think about this for a second. We can change our brains. We don’t need to stay thinking and doing the same things today that we did yesterday. If we are fearful of something, we can change that. If we are addicted to something, we can change that too. We can make ourselves happy, and we can make ourselves sad.

I’m not going to pretend that it’s always easy.

Imagine that you decide that you are going to get fit. You are very unfit, but you’ve made the decision ( that’s the hardest part) so you begin, and it feels very difficult. You sweat, you’re tired, you ache. But you keep going, and eventually, you feel much fitter than you were, and it was really worth the effort. Your muscles don’t remember being weak, because their new way is to be strong.

It’s the same with your brain. You decide that you want to change the way you think. Now you need to practice thinking a different way until your brain is fit and strong enough to forget the old way. You have to create new connections, strong connections which allow you to operate differently, better.

Solution Focused Hypnotherapy has helped millions of people to make those changes. Trance is a powerful tool for transformation, creating real and lasting effects for the better.
