Neuroscience

As part of our continued professional development (CPD) we are required  to attend at least two CPD courses a year in order to retain membership of the Association of Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (AfSFH). These courses also form part of the Advanced Hypnotherapy Diploma for which I am studying.

This courneuroscience-certificatese was held on Sunday 26th February at the Clifton Practice in Bristol and led by Dr Naeem Iqbal and was very well attended by fellow hypnotherapists from across the UK.

It was a fascinating insight into the incredible workings of the brain at a level not covered on the Hypnotherapy course, and I feel inspired to learn more – in particular about plasticity and the changes that can be made using Solution Focused Hypnotherapy.

Plasticity is the brains ability to strengthen and grow new pathways through the repetition of positive thought and behaviour, and that can happen throughout our lives.

Whilst we are in trance, our brains are optimally primed for plasticity, enabling new connections to form and create change in our thoughts and behaviours.

I look forward to helping you to bring about the changes you look for in your own life.
