How do you feel when there’s too much going on?

When our ‘stress bucket’ gets overfilled, it becomes difficult to manage.
It would be hard to carry this bucket of water without spilling anything.
Similarly, when we’re tired, continuously under pressure or dealing with big problems, it’s difficult to manage our own load without something spilling over.
Negative thought fills your bucket. You know the stuff. Things that are out of your control. Yet they wake you at 3am and won’t leave you alone.
Your alarm goes off and you feel as though you haven’t slept. Your bucket is almost full, and it doesn’t take much to make it overflow again.
You have a stressful day, you’re overtired, and so the cycle goes on.
Almost all of my clients are experiencing this type of scenario. Life just got too busy, and the bucket is perpetually full.
So what can we do about it?
Here are a couple of tips –
1) See relaxation as a valuable activity in its own right. Sleeping is NOT cheating!
2) Do the things you enjoy on a regular basis. Especially those things that take you outside into nature.
3) Spend time with people that you feel good being around.
