I have just had the healthiest 7 days that I can ever remember. I have been plagued with a chronic debilitating condition for years that would not give me any peace. Finally…..I’m healthy. Sally has helped me in more ways that I can begin to describe. I not only am enjoying massively improved health, with Sally’s expertise and amazing skills I was able to explore the reasons why I had been unable to heal and that has led me to a new found self belief in all that I am capable of.
With Sallys help I have transformed so many areas of my life, its given me a new clarity of thought and helped me understand, where I am, where I am going and what and who I wish to become. I am eternally grateful and hope that Sally gets the opportunity to help many more people; thank you. I loved visiting, it’s a beautiful place and I will miss it, but I know I am ok now and will forever look back fondly and with the most sincere gratitude that the universe sent me a true healer.
This is my first time trying hypnotherapy. I reached a point in my life where I knew change was necessary and I desperately needed something, whatever that was. I believe the answers were in me and I just couldn’t find them. After my first session, I have felt immediately physically and mentally lighter in my head. I felt much more in control and able to deal with the many challenges in my busy family life and at work. Each session managed to help me refocus, rebalance and build in that calmness and pause. Sally has been fantastic as a hypnotherapist. I enjoy my discussions with her and love the stories she tells to help relax my mind. Her relaxation audio has found a place in my bedtime routine. Now, I feel that I have more resources in me as I move forward in my life and I believe I am able to find my answers.
I found Sally through Well Doing and I can honestly say that she has changed my life.
I now really feel as though I am moving forward in the right direction with a deeper understanding of how my brain works and that I have all the tools within me to embrace the future with my own best interests at heart.
I was also able to successfully transfer some of her knowledge to some of the patients on the acute psychiatric ward that I work on. Explaining to them the connections the brain makes when we ask ourselves to find what’s been good.
Hi Sally, I won’t make this a habit but I’m so chuffed that it’s now been a week since my last cigarette. My resolve has been severely tested this week with a wedding on Saturday and fathers day yesterday ( both boozy affairs) and they passed without a single craving. Just want to say thank you again for your help. Another update in 6 months. All the best.
Hello Sally, Just to let you know, the tender presentation went really well…worried about talking for 15 minutes – ended up doing 45…thanks so much!
Wow, Sally, thank you so much for your help! I was fearful of flying and airports for so many years and had so many other insecurities and doubts. Since seeing you I feel much more happier and positive about life and I can frequent airports and fly with ease and confidence! I have already recommended you to some colleagues who have asked about you and your process. Thank you so much for your help!
During my first consultation with Sally she mentioned the words “almost like magic”. Well, for me, that almost feels like an understatement.
I can now clearly see that I had lapsed into a state of anxious misery; unable to see the good things around me as I was so focused on negative work based thoughts or feelings and the possible outcomes that may or may not materialise.
I’d been proactive in exploring wellbeing techniques which helped keep control of my work stresses but it was not helping me to focus on the positive aspects of my life. Neither was it addressing what I can now clearly recognise as a loss of my sense of perspective and an inability to prevent my inner thoughts from reacting to anxious feelings rather than reality.
Sally helped me to focus on the outcomes I was looking for and reinforced it using SFH {Solution Focused Hypnotherapy}
I now understand how my inner brain had learned to deal with the daily stresses in my life in a less than satisfactory way and I think I can even identify a particular period when things started to go wrong. But, to be honest I’m not that interested in the past. My thoughts, thanks to Sally are now centered on my immediate reality rather than the past or anxious feelings about possible futures.
A couple of months on and I now recognise myself, once again, as the positive optimist I used to be several years ago. And do you know what, it’s amazing how many good things have happened since then. Coincidence? I think not.
As a Solution Focused Hypnotherapist I cannot recommend Sally Potter enough. Neither, for that matter, can my wife who has witnessed the positive result and is very pleased to have the old me back!
I went to see Sally to help with both chronic and acute musculoskeletal pain as well as chronic fatigue. Sally was very confident from the beginning that she could help me, although after many years of trying different treatments I was rather sceptical.
Almost from the beginning I was able to relax my body quickly and fully while in trance and benefitted from a great deal of pain relief whilst under. She also taught me dissociation techniques to switch off my mind to specific painful areas. After months of treatment, I still see Sally regularly just for that wonderful feeling of being somewhat pain-free when in trance. Just half an hour of break from it is an amazing feeling.
However, the treatment went further than that. Sally helped me deal with my “painsomnia” so that although I don’t necessarily get more hours of sleep, those hours are much better quality. When I am awake during the night, I am now able to self-hypnotise so that my body is at least relaxed even if I am not asleep. This has had a huge effect – I am less tired and able to cope with the pain better.
In addition Sally helped me in another way – I had always felt I had a good, positive attitude to my life, so was surprised when Sally helped me realise I had unresolved feelings of grief about my disability and the life I had ‘lost’.
This was something I was able to work through with her and has left me more peaceful and accepting of my life as it is.
It is not an exaggeration to say that Sally has changed my life for the better. She has given me tools to use, alongside conventional medicine, to get through each day and be able to enjoy it. A more positive outlook helps me to cope with pain and fatigue which will never completely go away, but which I am now much more able to deal with on a day to day basis. Caroline
Thank you so much Sally for all the help you provided for me on a very difficult time in my life.
I will not lie, I was very nervous about hypnosis as I thought it would be a complete loss of control of my body and having PTSD that is the last thing that I wanted. However Sally was so supportive and answered all the questions I had to reassure me and the experience was nothing like what I originally thought.
The biggest difference I noticed was after the first session. I was struggling to leave my room and anxiety would set in when I tried too. However my mind responded really well to hypnosis and after that first session the anxiety of the actual motion to leave was relieved and its like it just disappeared.
I am not saying it will be the same for everyone but this was my experience. It was a stepping stone to continue on my healing journey.
I really appreciate all the help Sally has given me during this time and will always remember her being part of my healing journey!
Thanks so much Sally
The combination of a demanding job and family life left me feeling completely overwhelmed and out of control. This led me into a vicious circle of poor sleep, acute anxiety and procrastination. I was desperately unhappy and fearful.
Working with Sally at Aloft Hypnotherapy has enabled me to break out of this cycle and move forward.
Within a few sessions I was able to relax, understand the reasons for my behaviour and control the panic attacks. I now practice what I learned every day and have a completely different outlook on the world. This has enabled me to achieve more and to focus on the things in my life that make me happy.
On the way back from Italy now and I’ve had the most amazing week. Eating out didn’t phase me (the pizza was amazing!) and the flight was all fine. Extra excited for Budapest next month, and will see where next year takes me. Thanks again for all your help.
Sally is an empathetic, kind, compassionate and highly skilled hypnotherapist. Previous to my sessions with Sally, I was struggling with severe anxiety and recovering from a psychiatric hospital admission.
After my first session, I immediately knew that she was the right therapist for me; my time spent with Sally has been invaluable.
Sally has used her knowledge, training and experience to help me to heal deeply embedded negative thought patterns and intrusive thoughts – I initially arrived with a very fixed and negative mindset, but my sessions with Sally have enabled me to rewire my brain and adopt a far more positive, growth mindset. Sally has helped me to rebuild and begin to heal from past traumatic events with the use of the Muss Rewind which I have found extremely helpful. Sally has a quiet and calm approach, she is trustworthy, completely non-judgemental, encouraging, and always optimistic. :)
I’m just writing to thank you for your help in getting me to quit smoking , I haven’t had a single one even though there have been many occasions, including now , where I could have murdered one.
